Laura Levin, Ph.D., ABPP, is a Clinical Psychologist board certified in Couple and Family Psychology. She received her B.A. in Psychology from Emory University and has her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Miami. She completed her internship at The Child Guidance Center of Southern Connecticut, followed by a Postdoctoral Fellowship at The University of California, San Francisco, Department of Psychiatry.
She served for several years as the Director of the Postdoctoral Fellowship Program at The Family Institute at Northwestern University, where she oversaw the training of postdoctoral fellows and psychiatry residents in advancing their understanding of individual, couple, and family therapy.
Currently, Dr. Levin is in private practice in Chicago, where she enjoys working with teens, adults, couples, and families. Dr. Levin takes a relational, non-judgmental approach where individuals can express themselves freely about what’s bothering them and develop new approaches to deal with life challenges. She helps individuals build upon their strengths, change self-defeating behaviors, and develop healthy coping skills. She helps couples and families improve communication and relationships. In her free time, Laura enjoys playing tennis competitively, exploring the Chicago food scene, and spending time with her family.
